S3 SPS Sintering System
S3 technical proposal data imported from the Word document for product review and inquiry routing.
SPS (Spark Plasma Sintering) system is one of the most advanced sintering systems in the world. It is a new type of rapid sintering technology that achieves powder sintering and densification by applying pulsed current and axial pressure between two electrodes. It features fast heating rate, short sintering time, controllable micro structure, energy saving and environmental protection. It can be used to prepare metal materials, ceramic materials, composite materials, as well as nano bulk materials, amorphous bulk materials, functionally graded materials, etc. In addition, SPS equipment also enables the manufacturing of highly special new materials, such as nano materials, functionally graded materials, composite materials, tungsten carbide, silicon nitride, silicon carbide and other hard materials, structural ceramics and functional ceramics that can be sintered without significant grain growth.
Key Features
Technical Highlights
Highly Integrated Design: Adopting a horizontal, side door opening and all-in-one structure, it optimizes the accuracy of material loading and unloading, features convenient operation and flexible equipment movement, and greatly improves efficiency and space utilization.
Efficient Heating and Cooling Capacity: The equipment enables rapid heating and cooling, greatly shortening production time and reducing production costs. The maximum heating rate can reach 500C/min (varies according to material characteristics).
Self-developed Pulsed Variable Frequency DC Power Supply: The equipment is equipped with a self-developed pulsed variable frequency DC power supply, which significantly reduces power consumption compared with traditional SPS of the same grade, and truly realizes energy-saving, consumption-reducing and environment-friendly high-grade sintering production.
Intelligent Data Acquisition and Analysis: Equipped with a data acquisition and analysis system, it can save and call the process parameters that determine the quality of sintered products, such as sintering voltage, current, control temperature, applied pressure, displacement, vacuum degree, displacement change rate, measured temperature and other physical quantities, so as to track the product production process.
High Mechanical Pressure (20T/200KN): Compared with 10T equipment, the 10T high pressure significantly improves the material densification capacity, which is especially suitable for the sintering of superhard ceramics (B4C, SiC) and nano powder, effectively eliminating internal pores and improving the mechanical properties of products.
High-precision Pressure Control: Adopting a servo electric cylinder system with a pressure accuracy of <=+/-1 per milleFS (full scale), combined with a load sensor and a grating ruler, it ensures stable pressure during the sintering process and avoids material defects.
Multiple Safety Protection: HMI+PLC+PID pressure sensor control for real-time monitoring and adjustment of process parameters; multi-level safety interlocks to prevent abnormal conditions such as overpressure and over-temperature, ensuring the safety of equipment and personnel.
Excellent Sealing Performance: The dynamic pressure head adopts welded metal bellows sealing to ensure no leakage in the vacuum/atmosphere environment; the pressure rise rate is <=2Pa/h (empty furnace, cold state), which reduces gas pollution (oxidation/nitriding), lowers the frequency of supplementary pumping of the vacuum pump and extends the service life of the equipment.
Energy Saving and Environmental Protection: AdvantagesRapid heating and cooling combined with high-efficiency thermal insulation can reduce electricity/gas consumption by more than 30%; the low leakage rate design reduces the waste of protective gas and lowers the operation cost.
Wide Applications: SPS equipment also enables the manufacturing of highly special new materials, such as nano materials that can be sintered without significant grain growth. It can be used to prepare metal materials, ceramic materials, composite materials, as well as nano bulk materials, amorphous bulk materials, functionally graded materials, etc.
Selection guide
Confirm the process window before quotation.
For faster engineering review, prepare the core process boundaries before sending an inquiry.
Can the chamber be customized?
Yes. Chamber size, heating zone, fixture, pressure, and atmosphere configuration should be confirmed through technical review.
Is a process test recommended?
For new materials or demanding density targets, a sample process discussion helps reduce equipment selection risk.
What should be sent with an inquiry?
Material, target temperature, pressure or load, atmosphere, workpiece size, and expected capacity are the most useful inputs.
